The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has officially launched "supervised accounts" on YouTube in Algeria, a move designed to enhance digital safety for children and teenagers. Through the "Family Center," parents can now manage content settings tailored to a child's age, restrict specific channels, and set daily time limits for short-form videos. For users under 18, the system automatically enforces safety measures such as disabling comments, blocking targeted advertising, preventing autoplay, and providing bedtime reminders. The Ministry urges parents to explore these tools and actively supervise their children's online activity to ensure a safe and responsible digital experience.
