Cleanest Village Competition: Ighil Imoula Wins the 13th Rabah-Aissat Edition

Ighil Imoula village, in the Tizi N’Tlatha municipality, has been named the cleanest village in Tizi Ouzou, winning the 13th edition of the 'Rabah-Aissat' competition. The village, famous for its role in printing the November 1st, 1954 declaration, was awarded a prize of six million dinars during a ceremony at the Mouloud-Mammeri House of Culture. Residents and committee members attributed this success to three years of sustained environmental and community efforts. Iguer Amrane and Ait Tighilt villages followed in second and third place. Thirty-five villages from 24 municipalities participated in this year's event, with financial rewards distributed among the top ten villages, a celebration held just days before the 72nd anniversary of the start of the Algerian War of Independence.
