To support economic diversification and reduce reliance on hydrocarbon exports, Algeria has initiated a new 60-month partnership with the European Union titled "EU-Algeria for Business." Managed by the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), the program focuses on three main pillars: improving the business climate, promoting investment, and developing economic partnerships. Key objectives include facilitating trade, digitizing customs procedures, and assisting Algerian companies in accessing European markets while encouraging joint ventures and technology transfers. Currently, preparatory meetings involving local authorities, EU representatives, and the International Trade Centre are underway to establish a roadmap that addresses investor needs and fosters the integration of Algerian firms into regional and international value chains.
