In accordance with a directive from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a minute of silence is being held today, Saturday, at 11:00 AM across Algeria and at all Algerian diplomatic and consular missions abroad. This act of remembrance, established by presidential decree 21-392, honors the victims of the October 17, 1961, massacres and recognizes the invaluable contributions and sacrifices made by the Algerian diaspora during the national liberation struggle.
