The Algerian men's and women's national table tennis teams departed last Friday for Tangier, Morocco, to compete in the African Senior Championships scheduled from October 18 to 25. The Algerian squads aim to improve upon the results achieved during the 2025 edition in Tunis, where they secured four medals: a silver in the men's team event, a bronze in the women's team event, along with a silver in men's doubles and a bronze in mixed doubles. This year's tournament carries additional significance as it serves as a qualifying stage for the Individual World Championships, set to take place in Kazakhstan in May 2027.
