Security forces in Hassi Messaoud, Ouargla province, have dismantled a criminal network involved in drug trafficking, leading to the arrest of eight individuals, including five women. Following reports of a plan to transport and sell psychotropic substances, police intercepted a passenger bus where two suspects, a man and a woman, were found carrying 339 pills. Subsequent investigations and coordination with the local prosecution allowed authorities to identify and arrest the remaining members. The operation resulted in the seizure of 4,087 psychotropic capsules and 1,045 units of alcoholic beverages. The suspects were presented before the public prosecutor at the Hassi Messaoud court for legal proceedings.
