Khenchela: Mobile medical units launched to improve healthcare accessibility

The Khenchela province has launched a series of mobile medical units to bring healthcare services closer to citizens in various municipalities. As part of Pink October and broader preventive efforts, these initiatives provide specialized examinations, particularly in gynecology, cancer screenings, and catch-up vaccination programs for children. Caravans deployed in areas like Boukhacha and Djellal are staffed with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Concurrently, the provincial health director, Okbi Zineddine, conducted unannounced night inspections at hospitals in Ouled Rechache and Khenchela to assess the quality of emergency services and night-shift compliance. These visits also focused on overseeing the implementation of digitization processes within the healthcare facilities. Additionally, a training workshop for general practitioners was held regarding the electronic medical record system, aiming to modernize hospital management and streamline patient follow-up.
