Spanish security forces have successfully seized more than 3,000 kilograms of hashish in a major operation off the coast of Mazagón, Huelva. The vessel, which originated from the Moroccan coast, was tracked by maritime surveillance systems before being intercepted by naval units and an air support helicopter. Despite attempts by the occupants to evade capture through risky maneuvers and discarding fuel canisters at sea, the authorities managed to stop the boat and arrest all eight individuals on board. The operation resulted in the seizure of 76 packages of drugs and a high-speed rubber boat equipped with four powerful engines. The detainees are now facing legal proceedings for drug trafficking, endangering public safety, and non-compliance with authority.
