The suspect allegedly swindled more than eight victims from various districts by posing as a member of an official organization and claiming to possess the influence needed to resolve their personal matters. The police operation began following three initial complaints, with five additional victims coming forward after a public appeal. The total amount stolen is estimated at approximately 800 million centimes. The suspect has been brought before the competent judicial authorities on charges of fraud and the illicit use of a professional title.
