CAF complaint filed by Enugu Rangers against MC Alger

Following their 2-0 victory against MC Alger in the first leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round, Nigeria's Enugu Rangers have lodged a formal complaint with the African football governing body. The Nigerian side alleges that visiting supporters caused property damage and security breaches at the MKO-Abiola Stadium, requesting intervention ahead of the return leg. Conversely, images circulating online have cast doubt on these claims, depicting damaged stadium infrastructure in areas not occupied by MCA fans during the match. The return leg, scheduled for October 23 at the Ali-Ammar Stadium in Douera, carries significant weight; if MCA is eliminated, it would mark the first time since 2013 that no Algerian club qualifies for the group stage of the competition.
