The regional brigade of the National Gendarmerie in the municipality of Bir El Ater dismantled a four-member criminal network specialized in livestock theft last weekend. The operation was launched following a formal complaint from a local resident in the Zerika area whose animals had been stolen. Upon investigation, authorities successfully identified the suspects, who are between 20 and 26 years old. The Gendarmerie recovered the stolen livestock and seized a tourist vehicle that had been used in the commission of the crime. Once all legal procedures are finalized, the suspects will be brought before the competent judicial authorities.
