The General Directorate of National Domains expects to collect 126 billion dinars in revenue under the proposed 2027 Finance Bill. During a hearing at the Finance and Budget Committee of the National People's Assembly, Director General Abderrahmane Khidi presented 29 measures involving the adjustment of existing fees, the creation of new charges, and improved treasury collection efforts. The bill also includes tax incentives to promote investment, such as tax exemptions for venture capital funds and breaks for non-listed companies. To protect purchasing power, the draft proposes extending tax and customs privileges on imports of meat, legumes, and fresh produce. Furthermore, the legislation emphasizes the digitization of tax administration, mandating remote payments for certain taxpayers and introducing a 12% voluntary tax settlement scheme for previously unregistered individuals, while lawmakers continue to push for stricter oversight regarding tax evasion by foreign firms.
