The bourse regulatory authority has adopted new rules to standardize the issuance and trading of green bonds within the Algerian financial market. This initiative is designed to channel capital toward sustainable and environmentally friendly projects, including renewable energy, clean transportation, and biodiversity protection. Under the new regulation, companies must provide a clear green framework and undergo independent external audits to ensure that funds are used exclusively for qualifying projects. This reform aims to bolster investor confidence, enhance transparency in sustainable finance, and support the national transition towards an eco-friendly economy.
