High fuel costs for his journey between Valenciennes and Marseille, coupled with an unexpected four-day hotel stay due to back pain, left him with only 150 euros. Unable to continue his trip, he secured a return ferry ticket by paying in installments. He arrived back in Algeria with a mere 20 euros, which he managed to allocate for insurance and fuel to travel 500 kilometers. Upon reaching his home, he relied on financial assistance from his relatives to recover from the ordeal.
