The Tipaza province has announced a temporary closure of a segment of the Tipaza-Algiers highway scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026. This closure is required to complete road surface asphalt paving works. The affected section, spanning from the Bou Ismail underpass to the Algiers province border, will be closed from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. To manage traffic, three alternative routes have been designated through Bou Ismail, Fouka, and Douaouda, utilizing various national and local roads to eventually rejoin the highway at the Colonel Abbas junction. Authorities have urged road users to exercise caution, reduce speed, and adhere to traffic signals near the construction zone to ensure safety.
