The National Gendarmerie in Algiers has arrested two individuals involved in the distribution of psychotropic substances. The operation was triggered by a video circulating on social media, which enabled the security and investigation unit of Bir Khadem to identify and track down the suspects. Following judicial coordination, the officers confiscated thirty capsules of pregabalin, a knife, and cash proceeds from the illicit drug trade. The suspects are scheduled to appear before the competent judicial authorities to face charges related to the possession and trafficking of psychotropics, as well as the illegal carrying of a weapon.
