Berlin sees 3,500 protesters calling for end to Gaza war

Approximately 3,500 demonstrators gathered in Berlin for a pro-Palestine protest organized by the "United for Palestine" collective. Stretching from the Federal Chancellery to the German Parliament, the crowd demanded an end to the military aggression in Gaza and urged the German government to cease its military and political backing of the occupation. The event featured Palestinian, Lebanese, and Iranian flags, and was punctuated by confrontations with counter-protesters. Participants held signs denouncing the conflict and calling for justice for Palestinian victims. This mobilization reflects a wider European movement, with similar rallies held in London, Milan, Rome, and Warsaw, where protesters are pressuring their respective governments to halt arms supplies and demand an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians.
