On Thursday, the Tizi Ouzou Provincial People's Assembly (APW) organized a distribution event for 300 individuals with disabilities from across the province. The equipment provided included 80 motorized tricycles, 60 electric wheelchairs, 30 standard wheelchairs, 8 wheelchairs for cerebral palsy patients, 20 anti-bedsore mattresses, as well as medical beds and walking aids such as crutches. The initiative, funded by the provincial budget with a total investment of 4.5 billion centimes, aims to support the local disabled population, which exceeds 32,000 people according to official records. Officials noted that the high demand for such specialized equipment persists within the region.
