During the World Food Day commemorations, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Sid Ali Khaldi, emphasized that enhancing food security is a strategic priority aimed at increasing national production and reducing reliance on foreign markets. The Minister highlighted that innovation—spanning digital tools, artificial intelligence, and institutional frameworks—is no longer optional but essential for a more efficient and resilient agricultural sector. Efforts are currently focused on expanding grain cultivation, particularly in the southern regions, and optimizing water management. Furthermore, the Minister of Knowledge Economy and Startups, Noureddine Ouaddah, called for stronger collaboration between farmers and young innovators to transition from traditional methods to modern, localized solutions that meet national demand and ensure long-term food sustainability.
