Algeria condemns Colombia's decision to open an embassy in occupied El-Qods

On Wednesday, Algeria expressed its strong condemnation and indignation regarding the Colombian government's move to open an embassy in occupied El-Qods. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement labeling the decision as unacceptable and a direct violation of international law and United Nations resolutions. Algeria argued that this action undermines the two-state solution and seeks to alter the legal and historical status of Jerusalem. The statement warned that such a decision threatens regional stability and hinders efforts to establish a lasting peace in the Middle East. Consequently, Algeria has called upon the international community and the UN Security Council to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities to prevent the creation of further illegal realities in the occupied Palestinian territories.
