Air Algérie expands fleet with a new Airbus A330neo

Air Algérie has officially added its sixth Airbus A330neo to its fleet as part of an ongoing modernization initiative. The new aircraft, named "Ras El Afia" after the Jijel lighthouse, joins five existing A330neo units already in service. These long-haul jets feature a capacity of over 300 seats and provide a 25% improvement in fuel efficiency and carbon emission reduction compared to older models. This procurement is part of a 2023 strategic plan to acquire 36 aircraft in total—including Boeing and ATR models—to bolster both domestic and international operations through 2035.
