In observance of Pink October, the Directorate of Religious Affairs and the Health Directorate of Oran organized an awareness campaign on breast cancer prevention at the Essalem Mosque in the Yasmine district. Religious guide Thabet Mama noted that this initiative is part of a broader program covering several mosques across the province. The event featured medical guidance and addressed various questions from women in attendance. Dr. Ben Zerzoura highlighted the vital importance of early detection and healthy lifestyle habits, urging women to visit local health facilities for routine breast and cervical cancer screenings. She noted that these awareness sessions have seen significant participation, reflecting the growing health consciousness among Algerian women.
