A judge at the Hussein Dey court has ordered the pre-trial detention of three individuals suspected of stripping parts from a car in the Garidi district of Algiers. The investigation was initiated following a complaint from a victim whose Audi A3 had three of its doors stolen overnight. The suspects, Youcef Douma (33), Mehdi Nahi (29), and Kahina Othmani (28), reportedly planned the theft with high precision. They face charges of conspiracy to commit theft with aggravating circumstances, including breaking and entering at night and using a vehicle with false license plates. The accused were brought before the public prosecutor on October 19, 2026, and subsequently placed in custody.
