The district of Bouhadjar in El Tarf hosted a historical seminar dedicated to the achievements of the Eastern Base during the Algerian War of Independence. Salim Zaidi, from the National Organization of Mujahideen, detailed the strategic importance of the base in supplying the interior wilayas with weaponry and supplies, overcoming the Challe and Morice defensive lines. The event featured testimonies honoring key figures such as Amara Laskri, Abdelrahmane Bensalem, and Djebbar Tayeb. The initiative aims to document the national memory and educate younger generations on the sacrifices made for independence.
