Algeria and the EU collaborate on a new initiative to boost business and investment

Algeria and the European Union have initiated preparatory meetings for a five-year cooperation program named "EU–ALGERIA FOR BUSINESS". Supported by the International Trade Centre, the project focuses on three core pillars: improving the business climate, enhancing trade facilitation through the digitalization of customs procedures, and increasing the quality of Algerian products to meet European and environmental standards. The program, launched under the supervision of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), aims to encourage European investment, foster joint production, and assist local firms in accessing international markets. Officials confirmed that the initiative will define practical steps to meet the specific needs of investors and promote stronger economic partnerships.
