President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has implemented a partial reshuffle within the corps of walis, involving transfers and new appointments. The reassignments include Riad Benahmed from Batna to Aflou, Youcef Bechlaoui from Tlemcen to Batna, Mohamed Meziane from El Tarf to Bejaia, and Kamel Nouicer from Bordj Bou Arreridj to Tlemcen. Furthermore, new officials have been appointed as walis: Abdelouahab Zini, former delegate wali of El Harrach, becomes the wali of El Tarf; Redouane Khalfa, former delegate wali of Bab El Oued, is appointed wali of Bordj Bou Arreridj; and Omar Boutheraoui, previously the Secretary General of Oum El Bouaghi, takes over as wali of Barika.
