Elyaz Zidane, son of football icon Zinedine Zidane, has addressed speculation regarding whether he will represent France or Algeria at the senior international level. The 20-year-old defender, who previously played for French youth national teams and won the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, has yet to make an appearance for the senior squad. This allows him the possibility of changing his sporting nationality under FIFA regulations. Elyaz stated that he prefers to focus on his development and performance with his club, Red Star in the French second division, rather than rushing a decision regarding his international future.
