Police units in Médéa, working with the criminal investigation division, have successfully dismantled an organized criminal group involved in the storage and distribution of drugs and psychotropic substances. The operation began after a motorcycle driver was stopped at the bus station with cannabis in his possession. Further investigation, authorized by the public prosecutor, led to the arrest of two accomplices. Authorities seized 977 grams of cannabis, 13 capsules of pregabalin, a bottle of psychotropic solution, a knife, cash, and a motorcycle used for illegal activities. The individuals have been brought before the public prosecutor at the court of Médéa to face charges of organized drug trafficking.
