The Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure has issued a clarification regarding the funding structure of the railway line connecting Laghouat to Tamanrasset. The ministry explained that the project is divided into two sections: the first, covering 495 km from Laghouat to El Meniaa, is financed by the African Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The second section, spanning 1080 km from El Meniaa to In Salah and Tamanrasset, is fully funded by the national state budget. Furthermore, the ministry confirmed that consultations with the Islamic Development Bank are ongoing regarding other priority rail projects, urging media outlets to rely on official statements to ensure accurate reporting.
