Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf and his South African counterpart, Ronald Lamola, have launched a new ministerial mechanism designed to oversee the implementation of agreements reached by the High-Level Bilateral Committee. This move follows the ministerial meeting focused on the outcomes of the seventh session, held in Algiers in December 2024. Through the signing of a joint statement and meeting minutes, both nations reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing their strategic partnership, specifically in energy, mining, and industrial sectors. Furthermore, the ministers began preparations for the upcoming eighth session in Pretoria, aiming to foster greater economic integration and cooperation on regional and global issues.
