The Algerian-Croatian talent Lovro Chelfi earned his first professional start for Diriyah against Al Riyadh, taking the spot of Algerian international Adil Boulbina. The former Barcelona youth player, wearing number 25, showed promise throughout the match, contributing to several dangerous plays before Oscar Rodriguez scored the winning goal in the 13th minute. Victor Lekhal came close to equalizing for Al Riyadh on two occasions but could not find the net. Boulbina replaced Chelfi in the 66th minute and attempted to spark further attacks on the counter, but the game concluded with a 1-0 victory for Diriyah, who currently sits 7th in the Saudi league standings.
