The National Independent Authority for Elections has released the final figures regarding the candidate lists submitted for the upcoming communal and provincial popular assembly elections scheduled for November 28. This announcement follows the conclusion of the legal filing period, in accordance with Presidential Decree 26-284 and the organic law governing the electoral system. For communal assemblies, 5,631 lists were submitted, consisting of 5,371 party-backed lists, 239 independent lists, and 21 party alliance lists, totaling 141,388 candidates. Regarding provincial assemblies, 434 lists were recorded, including 405 party-backed, 24 independent, and 5 alliance lists, with a total of 21,476 candidates.
