Palestine emerges as a global icon for student protests

Europe, led by France and Belgium, is experiencing a wave of widespread protests driven by students and young activists calling for social justice and an end to austerity measures. What began as a reaction to educational crises has evolved into a broad movement involving labor unions and political figures, echoing the spirit of May 1968. Central to these protests is the Palestinian cause, with demonstrators demanding an end to Western military support for the occupation and advocating for Palestinian freedom. Despite harsh police crackdowns in Paris, the resolve of the protesters remains strong. The movement has transcended borders, gaining momentum globally from India to Brazil, firmly establishing Palestine as a universal symbol of justice and resistance against contemporary political policies.
