Hebron Under Military Siege: Forced Displacement and Property Destruction
Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, is facing an expansive Israeli military operation involving a strict blockade and the disruption of all commercial and basic services. Hundreds of Palestinian families in areas such as Farsh al-Hawa, Abu Katila, al-Jalda, and Ein Deir Baha have been forced to evacuate their homes at gunpoint. Residents were severely restricted, permitted to carry only one bag of clothing while being forced to leave behind their vehicles and belongings. The operation includes the demolition of residential and commercial buildings, as well as the seizure of homes to be used as military outposts flying Israeli flags. The Mayor of Hebron stated that the city is completely isolated, forcing displaced families to seek shelter in emergency facilities or with relatives as military raids continue to affect various locations across the West Bank.
