Overnight between October 12 and 13, Moscow experienced one of the largest drone attacks since September. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that 417 drones were directed at the region, with the vast majority shot down far from the capital and 65 destroyed near the city. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that a total of 604 drones were intercepted across the country and over the Sea of Azov. Regions including Bryansk, Belgorod, Rostov, Kaluga, Tula, Voronezh, Krasnodar, and Stavropol also suffered strikes, resulting in damage to schools, houses, and industrial sites, though no injuries were reported. In retaliation, Russian forces conducted strikes in Kiev, hitting a missile and drone production facility owned by Pulp Mill Print, as well as the Darnitsa railway depot, which the ministry stated was used to maintain military equipment.
