The club stated that as of now, they have not received any official correspondence from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirming the cancellation of Tuesday's scheduled game, despite reports suggesting the opponent's withdrawal. Under these circumstances, the team continues its regular preparations for the match, noting that the visiting delegation has not yet arrived in Algeria. It had been previously agreed between both clubs to host both legs of the tie in Algeria, as the Equatoguinean side lacks a stadium approved by CAF. USM Alger management promised to keep fans and the media informed as soon as they receive official updates from the African football governing body.
