Algeria has reached a major milestone in its digital infrastructure by surpassing four million fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) subscriptions. The Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, noted the significant growth of the network, which rose from 53,000 users in 2020 to the current figure. This achievement aligns with the national strategy to enhance digital services and economic competitiveness. The government aims to exceed 4.4 million subscribers by the end of this year and plans to connect an additional 300,000 households during the first quarter of 2027 to ensure broader access to high-speed internet.
