The second edition of the international electricity and renewable energy fair, 'Kahraba Expo 2026', concluded in Algiers this Thursday after a three-day exhibition featuring over 75 participants. The event served as a hub for industry professionals, researchers, and start-ups to showcase the latest advancements in solar energy, energy storage, and sustainable industrial solutions. Highlights included locally produced lithium batteries from the CRTSE and research into green hydrogen production by the CDER. Furthermore, the Algerian Society for Electrical and Gas Industries (a Sonelgaz subsidiary) used the platform to announce the upcoming export of 250 electric vehicle charging stations to Italy, following a previous shipment to Portugal, underscoring the sector's growing export ambitions.
