The Prime Minister chaired an inter-ministerial meeting this Thursday focused on the marketing of red meat. Attended by the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Traders and Artisans along with representatives from the red meat federation, the session addressed concerns regarding stable supply and affordable pricing for consumers. The meeting follows directives from the President of the Republic, who called for investigations into monopolistic practices by certain importers and price discrepancies between regions, while also pushing for new regulations to strictly control middlemen in the sales process between producers and citizens.
