Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Sid Ali Khaldi, inspected the Algerian-Qatari 'Baladna' project in Adrar, dedicated to powdered milk production. The project is an integrated model spanning land reclamation, agricultural output, and industrial processing. It is designed to reduce import costs and generate local employment through cattle breeding, fodder production, and livestock farming. The Minister confirmed that his ministry provides technical and veterinary oversight to transform the Algerian South into a major agricultural hub. The site visit included inspections of bovine quarantine facilities, the powdered milk factory under construction, and corn fields in the Oulef and Fenoughil districts.
