Speaking at the closing session of the 30th international seminar hosted by the Mexican Labor Party, Sahrawi Foreign Minister Mohamed Yeslem Beissat called on progressive forces to strengthen their political and field actions to uphold the right to self-determination and decolonization. He emphasized that international solidarity must move beyond statements to manifest as concrete parliamentary and political initiatives. Beissat strongly condemned human rights abuses in occupied Western Sahara, highlighting the plight of hunger-striking political prisoners and the plundering of natural resources. He affirmed that liberty is a fundamental right that requires firm political will to defend, urging greater coordination among global movements to turn principles of justice into effective action.
