The train link between Annaba and Tunis is officially back in service as of Wednesday, October 21, 2026, following the completion of 20 days of railway maintenance in Souk Ahras. The suspension, which began on September 14, affected the section between Aïn Sennour and Souk Ahras. Passengers can now resume their travel on the scheduled days: Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from Annaba, and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from Tunis. Ticket prices are set at 1,900 DZD for first class and 1,640 DZD for second class. Children between the ages of 4 and 12 receive a 50% discount, while those under 4 travel for free. Tickets can be purchased at various railway stations across the country.
