Mohamed Ali Haroun, former member of the High State Committee, passes away at 99

The Mujahid Mohamed Ali Haroun, a prominent historical figure of the national liberation struggle, has passed away at the age of 99. Joining the National Liberation Front (FLN) at the start of the Revolution, he was instrumental in organizing efforts abroad. As a political leader within the FLN's France Federation, he participated in diplomacy to highlight the Algerian cause and defended the rights of Algerian activists in French courts. Post-independence, he served as a deputy in the Constituent Assembly, held the position of Minister Delegate for Human Rights in 1991, and served on the High State Committee from 1992 to 1994. The Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tacherift, offered his sincere condolences to the deceased's family and revolutionary colleagues.
