Amar Benjamaa, President of the UN Economic and Social Council, has called for a stronger mobilization of financial resources to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During a joint meeting, he highlighted that developing countries face an annual funding shortfall of $4 trillion. Benjamaa noted that excessive debt burdens are severely restricting development investments, particularly in vulnerable nations. He urged for faster and more equitable solutions to address these financial obstacles as the 2030 deadline approaches.
