Law enforcement authorities in Chlef have arrested a 37-year-old man accused of defrauding over 18 victims. The suspect, now remanded in custody, allegedly swindled a total of 17 billion centimes through a series of fraudulent business deals. His modus operandi involved promising the importation of vehicles from abroad, as well as a fictitious livestock sale transaction valued at 9 billion centimes. Following investigations by the judicial police, the individual was brought before the Chlef court to face charges of fraud and breach of trust.
