Oran police have dismantled an illegal food storage operation hidden within a private home garage. Following a tip-off and authorization from the public prosecutor at El Othmania court, authorities—including trade, veterinary, and consumer protection services—inspected the premises. They discovered 193.65 kilograms of unfit food items stored in hazardous conditions. The seizures included expired frozen seafood, prawns of unknown origin, minced meat, and sausage meat. The operation also identified several cooling units and refrigerators operating without proper hygiene standards, as well as an expired fire extinguisher on site.
