Minister of State and Minister of Interior, Brahim Merad, presented the proposed 2027 budget for his sector, totaling 1,557.4 billion dinars in payment credits. The plan prioritizes local government support with 675.6 billion dinars, including 150 billion for community projects such as water, sanitation, and school maintenance. Additionally, 623.3 billion dinars are allocated to national security and 118.6 billion to civil protection to enhance operational capabilities. The budget strategy includes the digitalization of public services, the development of the eleven new provinces, and the boosting of local tax revenues by expanding tourism-related levies. The minister emphasized that the fiscal approach aims to improve spending efficiency and meet citizens' needs.
