Algeria has sustained its crude oil production above the one million barrels per day (bpd) threshold for the second consecutive month in September 2026, reaching 1.003 million bpd. This represents the first time in over three years that such levels have been maintained for two months in a row, supported by the OPEC+ alliance's decision to ease voluntary production cuts. Estimates suggest production could rise to 1.007 million bpd throughout October and November. Furthermore, the country is actively boosting its long-term output capacity through international tenders for exploration. Since 2024, Algeria has secured multiple agreements with global energy partners to develop new hydrocarbon fields, signaling a positive outlook for the sector's production potential by 2030.
