On behalf of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, High Commissioner for Digitization Meriem Benmouloud attended the Global Digital Forum in Moscow from October 8 to 10. The event served as a platform to present Algeria's progress in digital transformation and its commitment to the global governance of artificial intelligence (AI). Throughout the forum, the minister participated in high-level discussions regarding AI regulatory frameworks and the potential of digital sovereignty. She engaged with international officials and global experts to explore strategies for adapting to technological shifts. Additionally, Benmouloud held talks with Amandeep Singh Gill, the UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Technology, focusing on the role of digital transition in achieving sustainable development goals. The participation reaffirms Algeria's active role as a founding member of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO).
