The Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (SEAAL) has announced scheduled maintenance operations on the drinking water distribution network, which will cause temporary supply interruptions across several municipalities in the western part of the capital. These disruptions are set to occur from Monday, October 19, to Thursday, October 22, 2026. The affected areas include parts of Sidi Abdellah, Mahelma, Rahmania, Zeralda, Staoueli, Cheraga, Aïn Benian, Hammamet, Baba Hassen, Tessala Merdja, Saoula, Birkhadem, Gué de Constantine, Bouzareah, Beni Messous, Raïs Hamidou, Bologhine, and Oued Koriche. The company states that these works are necessary to improve network efficiency and ensure service continuity. Normal distribution schedules will be restored gradually starting Thursday evening, once the work is completed and the main reservoirs are refilled.
